Modular Element System (MES)

An additional modular system has been developed to guarantee that the customer can utilize its Tricept in an optimum way maintaining the flexibility and work envelope without sacrificing the stiffness, accuracy and acceleration that come from the Tricept technology. This system is designed around two side walls and one upper bridge, all consisting of thin sheet metal boxes filled with an special epoxy polymer concrete. The above described epoxy polymer concrete, is successfully used in other applications by well known machine tool manufacturers in the world since years back. The side walls are equipped with a complex pattern of holes that allows the Integrator or OEM customer to put the upper bridge in three (3) different positions, 45, 0 and 90 degrees.

MES Interfaces

Each above described side wall is equipped with interface holes in the lower front. These holes are prepared for front mounted tables and/or special equipment designed and integrated by an Integrator or OEM customer. On the inside of each leg there is also a pattern of holes that are prepared for a inline mounted table as well as special equipments designed and integrated by the Integrator or OEM customer.

Modular Setup System (MSS)

There are several tables available and of those the turn table, fixed front table and the inline table have successfully been delivered and installed at numerous customers. The Turn table is used both as a positioner for large parts and a pallet changer and sometimes in a combination of both. The fixed front table is mostly used for prototyping or robotic loading-unloading and the inline table has been supplied for large flat parts. The Slide table as well as the pure pallet changer and horizontal turning table has not yet been delivered.
